Welcome to the Trail Life page.  As a ministry of Faith Community Church, Trail Life is a Christ Centered-Boy Focused program that emphasizes:  Adventure – Character – Leadership.  “Trail Life is a great outdoor adventure program for boys and young men”, Dr. James Dobson.

With a nationwide membership approaching 60,000 and over 1200 troops, Trail Life is partnering with parents, training mentors, and preparing boys with a real-world understanding of biblical manhood.  The need has never been greater for a uniquely masculine ministry that honors a boy’s assertive, audacious, adventurous nature.  Trail Life unites men in transformational activities and mentors boys to become men of character who honor God, lead with integrity, serve others, and experience outdoor adventure.

Today, boys are Unguided, Ungrounded, Unappreciated, and Uninspired.  Respected research tells us that over 70% of Christian young people will walk away from their faith before the age of 30.  At the heart of the issue is an intergenerational disconnect that results in a lack of understanding about how faith is relevant to and lived out in daily life.

Trail Life provides:

  • Trained, background checked, and equipped Christian men who lead in a male-centric environment.
  • An unapologetically Christian stance with the Bible as the foundation of truth.
  • A boy focused program that accentuates their strengths and provides activities to let boys be boys.
  • A robust, boy focused awards program that gives them clear recognition for their successful efforts.

Through this proven process, Trail Life prepares boys with a real-world understanding of biblical manhood-forging a foundation of relevant faith that endures.

“Walk Worthy” is the Trail Life motto taken from Colossians 1;10; “… that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God;…”  The leadership of the Waupaca troop at Faith Community Church seeks to develop boys into men who will, indeed, walk worthy of the Lord to become faithful husbands, dedicated fathers, and servants with integrity.

Overnight camps, nature hikes and community service projects are just part of our adventure agenda. A Christian worldview is reinforced in each of our weekly meetings to build character in each young man.
